Kevin De Bruyne injured: How will Man City cope without their talisman

Pep Guardiola did not see the point in sugar coating the news that Manchester City will be without Kevin De Bruyne for between four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

It is [a huge blow] but we have to move forward, he said after confirming the extent of the setback for the Belgium international.

He has an important part of the season out and we have to find a solution.

Handily for Guardiola, having the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden to choose from within his creative department means such solutions are in theory at least close at hand.

Here, we will examine how well equipped City are to face a run of fixtures including games against Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Borussia Monchengladbach and possibly Manchester United withou…

What’s Up With Inter — Where Are The Signings?

The Suning group have not been their usual selves, spending very little so far. What s the problem? Image: Getty

Unlike fellow club AC Milan, Inter have had a pretty poor mercato so far. What is happening with the Nerazzuri, and can they get it together?

Bye, Bye, Banega

Inter have already sold a key player this year in Banega, and there should be more sales to come. Caprari, Banega, and Juan Jesus have all left for a decent sum, although Banega s €9 million transfer fee has left some perplexed, especially considering Biglia, a player of similar caliber, was sold for €20 million to Milan.

Most of these sales are due to FFP regulations, Inter trying to recoup some of the losses in recent years. seems to be headed out to Manchester U…

AC Milan still interested in van de Beek

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, AC Milan have resumed their interest in Donny van de Beek. The 22 year old has been able to shine this season as one of the featured members of Ajax’s incredible campaign, in which they’ve been able to reach the semi finals of the UEFA Champions League. The Dutch international, who made his pro debut for Ajax back in 2015, was close to signing with AC Milan two years ago before the deal fell apart. Ajax value the forward at around £50 million, although Milan could be set to face some stiff competition for his signature.

All eyes have been on the other big names for Ajax in their European run this season, when in reality, van de Beek has been just as influential – which is pretty encouraging when you consider the fact that …

Herrera keen on Manchester United stay

Ander Herrera is keen to remain at Manchester United despite interest from Barcelona, according to ESPN.

The midfield’s current deal at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of this season, though the Red Devils are set to offer him fresh terms to avoid him being able to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Should a new contract not be agreed, Herrera will be able to open talks with European clubs once the transfer window reopens in January.

Barcelona have been interested in signing the 29-year-old since Ernesto Valverde was named as their manager, with the pair having worked together at Athletic Bilbao.

Since arriving in Manchester in the summer of 2013, Herrera has played one hundred and sixty-three times in all competitions, scoring seventee…
